New economic data released today by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) shows that fishing and boating is the # 1 contributor to the outdoor recreation economy. “This BEA data proves what the fishing industry has always known – outdoor recreation is an economic force in the United States and is only getting bigger. Lawmakers have the opportunity to put this data to use by crafting policy that supports and promotes access, habitat improvement, and clean water to benefit our outdoor recreation economy.” -Glenn Hughes, President - ASA Thank you to Outdoor Recreation Roundtable for hosting this event.

Indoor pools are a great application for Rebound's Icepoint Technology. The Asymmetric discharge allows us to build up stored cooling during quiet hours (or lower electricity rate windows), and then discharge at a higher rate for those few hours of an event, swim meet, etc. for outstanding comfort cooling and, importantly, humidity control.

From the towering peaks of Denali to the unique ecosystems of the Everglades, the United States is home to some of the most spectacular and diverse national parks in the world.

BC Parks, in collaboration with Líl̓wat Nation and N’Quatqua First Nations, has issued a joint statement outlining the 2024 plans for Joffre Lakes Provincial Park. These plans prioritize maintaining public access while safeguarding the park's natural and cultural heritage. The updated strategy introduces three designated closure periods to accommodate Indigenous celebrations and traditional activities. Scheduled Closure Dates for Joffre Lake Provincial Park: April 30 to May 15: Reserved for Indigenous cultural festivities. June 14 to June 23: Allocated for summer solstice and Indigenous Peoples’ Day observances. September 3 until October 6: Set aside for Indigenous fall harvesting practices and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Given the increasing population in the Lower Mainland, the growing interest in outdoor recreation and access restrictions in existing parks, the Province of British Columbia must prioritize creating additional outdoor recreation opportunities for residents and visitors, including hiking and camping. https://lnkd.in/gessSSHp
