Hey LinkedIn Family, I’ve been reflecting on my interview experiences and wanted to get your thoughts on a classic question: "Tell me about yourself." In the past, I’ve focused on my education, projects, and achievements—basically, reciting my resume. But now, I’m wondering if there’s a better way to approach this. Do you usually talk about your professional background, or do you also include personal stories and attributes? For those in HR or talent acquisition, what kind of answers stand out to you? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips! #hr #interview #tips #talent #job

I spoke with someone who left a job without another one to go to. The culture was too toxic and they had to make a change. They are concerned about what to say in a job interview about why they left. Will people think they were the problem? My advice: be completely honest with why you left. If the hiring manager can't appreciate that, then that's one more firm to cross off your list of companies you want to work for. #work #job #culture #hiring #interview #recruitment #executivesearch

🔥 Recruiting Recruiters 🔥 -placing experienced agency Recruitment Consultants and Managers UK wide 🤑
There’s nothing worse than sitting in a job interview for a position that’s not right for you 😤 This is inspired by Matthew Baxter's post last week about how to phrase requests for flexible working in a job interview 🌈 I was quite surprised by the number of commenters who felt that whatever we want in terms of flexibility, we should get. Just because YOU want to work in a certain way, you can’t expect A WHOLE BUSINESS to change their entire working practices, which is sadly an attitude I’ve seen a few times over the last year or so. 🔮🤨 Your recruiter knows how their clients work 👌- they are there to signpost you on the direction of business that share your mindset.......and will make sure you are ONLY interviewing with companies who can accommodate your needs. 💛💛💛 *****Before anyone comes at me, I am not saying there is anything wrong with hybrid and flexible working, but you need to check if a company offers it before interviewing- don't blindly assume and waste your and their time.**** #recrutimentinsights #jobsearch #interviewing #career
