The construction industry is one of a kind. It’s a job that requires more effort and skill than most others. And it sure isn’t easy. Construction is not for those who can’t work hard. But if you can, it’s one of the best careers you can have. P.S. What do you think about the working conditions inside the industry? Have they changed in the past 5 years? #Construction #ConstructionJobs
It's my strong belief that while the conditions may have remained the same, the approach to leadership has evolved for the better. This has made the job a lot more manageable than it was many decades ago.
Definitely improvements. While small steps, they still count. I’m seeing more people be: Vulnerable Helpful at work Intentional to prioritize Diligent with mental health On the lookout to improve construction And so much more ⚡️
Ive seen the conditions in the industry take big leaps in the right direction. But the improvements are only visible in small clusters where leaders are courageous in taking a people first approach.
I love it!
Congrats 🎉

8moI’d say we took one step forward and two steps back; first is was the “essential” cheer, then to its alright to stay home if you are sick (we will pay you to do so for yourself and others), then it was the threats of take the vax or else, or only vaxed personnel can be on site (some did loose their jobs), ahhh but we highlighted what’s been broken in our manufacturing and inputs of materials, fuels, and logistics which really highlighted poor planning, and unachievable project deadlines. Now I will say for the better it has highlighted in a positive way mental illness and burnout, that we can in fact get things done remotely, that construction has an aging population and need to engage and excite the younger generations, that technology is a good thing.
