Celebrating our 15th year at Hatch is an achievement I am very proud of. I can 100% say that all past and of course the present talented Hatchlings have all played their part in growing our brand, our offer and delivering for clients. Importantly though, we have also managed to have some fun along the way. I could say it's all been 'plane sailing' and how easy it is driving the business forward. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, last year was a really tough trading year for Hatch. There were multiple reasons for this, but for the most part it felt like brands were being cautious to invest against the backdrop of inflation and the cost of living crisis. I am sure some will blindly say everything is great all the time to keep appearances, but surely a bit of honesty goes a long way with your team and network. I know many suffered last year and I’m convinced our industry could have told everyone we were in a recession before the official technical figures were released! This was especially true in the first six months of 2023 for Hatch. However, I believe the sign of a good business is when things are tighter the team pull together, you focus on your talents and reinvigorate your offer. I am so proud of the team and the Board at Hatch, as the second half of 2023 saw us do just that, and we battled our way into a positive end to 2023. What’s more encouraging is this fight and desire has translated to an even stronger start to 2024, and based on the first three months of the year we are in for our best year yet. So I suppose the purpose of this post is really to celebrate talent in your team and to flag that business is always a roller coaster. If you are focused and engage the team, sometimes a little market challenge to ongoing growth can pay dividends. Thanks for our clients and brand partners for their partnership and support - we are proud to represent you and here is to mutual success in 2024. #teamwork #PR
Good for you Jason. Honesty goes a long way. It tedious to see the glossy repetitive posts on LI. Congrats on the milestone - you have a stellar talented team that will endure
Great words. You should get a bloody medal. In fact you, James & Matt should all receive one each. Congratulations Jason your passion and enthusiasm. Your “mostly” unbreakabke positive attitude and desire to look always at the positive side of life. Thank you for all your help and support you have given me and the business in the past. A large glass of Red wine is calling to celebrate.
Oh this is joyous to read !! Congrats and happy birthday to Hatch 🎂🥳 honesty openness transparency willing to get stuck in especially when it’s tricky … a sign of a mature and high performing team indeed. Hope youve got something nice planned to celebrate x
Congratulations. Transparency and teamwork truly make a difference in navigating market challenges. Cheers to continued success.
Congratulations Jason and all the team. Having your own business is a big dipper ride for sure; so many ups and downs but if it’s built correctly with good people and genuine passion for the customer, it will endure. Well done and all the very best for the future.
All too true Jase, 15 years is a hell of an achievement and the rough times makes the rest easier.
Congratulations Jason Madeley! 🥂 15 Years is an amazing achievement. I'm not sure I know of any businesses that haven't had a rough time the last few years. Although it can be hard, you definitely learn more covering the hard yards than the easy ones!
Congrats!!! Great achievement and glad things have picked back up this year for you all.
Thank you for all you do for us Jason and many congratulations on your anniversary 👏

6moWell said, Jason Madeley. On a few points. Being so open about the ups and downs of business. recognising the power and abilities of the people in the business. And finally, being a successful business, employing people, serving customers for over 15 years. Most don't get that far.
