James Long’s Post

Founder / Managing Partner at The Long Law Firm, PLLC

The Long Law Firm is hiring. As we grow, I think a lot about… Building a company that allows people to be themselves. Building a team that effectively balances innovation and execution. Hiring individuals that can make an immediate impact who are also willing and able to grow. This is the first video that I’ve ever posted. It took about five minutes to make the video. And about two days to debate with myself, back-and-forth, whether or not to post it. In my final analysis, effective leadership requires some level of vulnerability and a willingness to try new things. The man in the arena, and all that stuff. I hope to do more of these in the future and my expectation is that the quality will improve with practice. In the meantime, you got to enjoy the awkward first steps of this project.

You know I’m loving seeing you on video here, Counselor. 👊 The insight about team building is on point. We need players for all the positions. We need players with different strengths. Not just so that there are good people to do everything, but also so that somebody who’s good ar something can help a teammate who isn’t close the gap and get better.
