I'm a loyal, and vocal Air Canada, customer-Aeroplan member-shareholder. When the airline exceeds service standards or overtly excels (as there is a lot we never see or know in this space to ensure 'safe skies) in safety situations, I call it out for notice and praise. Equally so, this story is one that reminds me of my primary school report cards ... "just needs to apply himself a little more." For example, the AC app has vastly improved and I like the idea of equipping staff with more personalized information to better improve the flying experience and let's remember, flight attendant priorities are always safety first, not catering to our whims (and yes, I can be a fussy flier 😉 ). #flying #aviation #customerservice #customerexperience

TNMT analyzed over 15,000 airline reviews from TripAdvisor and found that operational issues are the key culprits behind this decline. Flight irregularities, mishandled baggage, and long wait times are the leading causes of customer dissatisfaction, accounting for nearly 36% of all reviews. Mishandled baggage has reached a decade-high in 2022, and long wait times at check-in and boarding are another major source of frustration for travelers. Airlines should prioritize operational efficiency and leverage new technologies to improve the customer experience. J.D. Power released its annual rankings of the top-performing airlines in North America based on customer satisfaction across several areas, including airline staff, digital tools, ease of travel, level of trust, pre-flight experience, onboard experience, and overall value given price.
