Happy Birthday, The Communication Architects! Today marks exactly 3 years and 3 days to the day since I started my solo project. When I decided in spring 2020 - in the midst of Corona - to leave my "baby" behind and set a new course, everyone said I was crazy. But I knew the time had come and I haven't regretted the decision for a single day. On the contrary. Without exaggeration, I can say that this was the start of one of the most turbulent phases in my life. Because when we move something in our lives, other things in life move with us. While I was building up my small business, my relationship broke up and soon afterwards I lost my beloved little house in the country. Hattric! Not an easy time and yet I have accompanied 3 launches and organized 3 big events, got to know various new industries (and am fascinated every time I step into something new), organized two relocations, completed various trainings in #OnlineMarketing, #ChangeManagement, #Purpose and #KI, created strategies and concepts for some of the biggest brands, completed my boat license as well as my sailing license, worked with some of the most prestigious companies and agencies and met so many new and exciting people along the way. What did I learn during that time? 👉 You're not exhausted because you work too much. You're exhausted because you do too little of what makes you happy. 👉 If a door closes, it's not your door. 👉 Life is what happens while you’re worrying - just do it. 👉 Don't be afraid of failure. Failure is how we grow. 👉 If it's not a hell "yes", it's a hell "no". To be continued 😊 Grateful for everything that was. Move Forward: Commitment to relentless progress! I am back from a wonderful family vacation visiting Portugal, a incredible place I recommend all to visit. During my time off, I started to read Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life by Arnold Schwarzenegger recommended by a friend Christopher Shulgan at Ghost Bureau Inc. In all honesty, I didn't know what to expect and delighted to share I have been enjoying his openness and conviction of having a personal vision supporterd by core values. His raw approach really made me felt his struggles as well how he was able to overcome some of them. Helping others at a core has been one of his greatest strengths. Great work Arnold, very admirable. It's been a while since I wanted to revisit who Michael Contento is outside the entrepreneur currently at F12.net and during my trip with my family and a group of my closest friends, it inspired me to share my personal vision once again. As most of those that know me, my mantra of never quitting is a testament to my unwavering determination and resilience. I believe in the power of perseverance, always striving to overcome obstacles and reach my goals. Supporting others is at the core of my values; I am dedicated to uplifting those around me, offering encouragement and assistance whenever needed. After 12 years of building our business, I’ve learned, that honesty, integrity, and trust are the tools of the trade, and without them you’re f*cked. We have learned some stuff along the way!! I’ve definitely learned that you must love your partner with more passion than you love your business, otherwise, you will be successfully alone. Make everything around you work in your favour, make life work for you, not against you. Set boundaries early, find your way of working, and be your own genius. Be clear on who you are, what you do, and how it helps other people. Focus on less and become the best!! People will find you because of your passion and expertise in your field. Help others realise their dreams and help them achieve them because being in the service of others is the elixir of life. Celebrate other people's success, you can shout from the rooftops all day long, and everyone wins. When in doubt, go with your gut, it’s smarter than you are, and not all villains dress in black, and not all superheroes wear capes. Saying no is something you will have to become comfortable with. Create collaborative, equally beneficial relationships around your work, and dive in where there is mutual self-interest. Understand that everyone is trying to find their rhythm Understand that you will benefit from learning to swim before you become a lifeguard. Your place of passion and work is not the place to fix your problems. Invest your time in healing yourself so you can better serve others. I recommend Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), it’s life-changing.
