What is it about a total eclipse that holds such fascination for humans! Imagine what it did to our ancestors - fear for sure. What can’t be explained, often evokes fear. But then the phenomenon was explained and many still didn’t believe it. Fast forward, now that we are not in the dark, we want to understand its effects - no fear - to eclipse our #curiosity NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration is preparing for a mission to study how the sudden decrease in sunlight affects our upper atmosphere - three suborbital "sounding" rockets equipped with scientific instruments will be launched in succession – before, during the peak and one after – to measure changes in electric and magnetic fields, density, and temperature. Can’t wait to hear the cool findings!

The word Force is described as a push👉 or a pull👈. Earth has a Gravitational Force👇 that arises from its centre. The very word Force itself indicates it must be a matter or something with mass and space. So, who exactly is producing this Force🤔??? I thought deep and concluded that the Earth has its own consciousness or in simple terms Earth has a Soul🧐. solar eclipse on (mon)day mon ami, oui oui. NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's explorer https://lnkd.in/e5pb2dnz NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's scientific visualization studio https://lnkd.in/ejGYQB7q The April 8, 2024 eclipse will be a total solar eclipse. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon moves between the Earth and Sun completely obscuring the Sun. All of the United States will experience a partial solar eclipse. An eclipse path sweeps across central Mexico, parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and southern Canada. During totality, you may view the Sun without proper eye protection, such as solar glasses. But during all other phases of the eclipse, you should only look at the Sun when your eyes are protected. solar punk vibes < . >

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration launched it's latest space probe to visit Jupiter's icy moon Europa in 2030. The probe will make 44 close flybys and provide into what are the three requirements for life as we know it: liquid water, chemistry, and energy. Europa is one of the locations in the Solar System besides Earth where life might exist, possibly in the subsurface oceans suspected under the moon's ice crust. Forbes 09 https://lnkd.in/e8GFpibx

Bravo, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. #DesignForAll #Accessibility #Inclusion #Progress "NASA’s many successful space missions and discoveries have resulted in the acquisition of thousands of images, movie clips and a variety of data in a range of scales. These resources have helped most of us to visualize, interpret and map distant planetary surfaces, leading to extraordinary discoveries. But, what about your colleague, friend or family member who is visually impaired or blind? How might these discoveries and observations be as powerful for them as it is for you? We ask questions like this all of the time so that people with disabilities can have the same experiences as people without, whether it is understanding what an asteroid or small body is, experiencing a lunar or solar eclipse, or using spectroscopy to determine the composition of a planet’s surface. For the last two decades we have been working with students, colleagues, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), teachers and parents to make earth and space science accessible for all." https://lnkd.in/gvdRqxeE

NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration Jupiter is a great opportunity to study stars in a less energetic phase. Jupiter is not a planet; it's a star. Only stars have magnetic fields like that. The eye of the storm is a Jupiterspot. Also, all stars are binary. Furthermore, stars come with a massive twin, which is Saturn in Jupiter's case. To test that proposition, apply E = mc^2. Let me know; I'm not sure and I'm lazy. I'm not done yet. Earth is cool because Venus is hot. Also, Venus is right next door to the only known living planet in the universe and it's in the temperate zone. The probability of there not being a stable and robust photosynthesizing ecosystem on Venus is 1/N where N is the largest known prime. Asymptotically zero. Send some spaceships and look for creatures that thrive on heat.

The Fireball collaboration team has achieved a groundbreaking milestone in understanding relativistic electron-positron plasmas, which are crucial for decoding the dynamics of black hole jets. Using CERN's HiRadMat facility, they generated an unprecedented high-density beam of electron-positron pairs, exceeding ten trillion pairs. This number is crucial for sustaining a plasma state, allowing detailed laboratory experiments that bridge theoretical simulations and astronomical observations. By extracting 300 billion protons from CERN's Super Proton Synchrotron and targeting graphite and tantalum, the team produced this powerful plasma, setting the stage for future experiments. Their next goal is to observe how these jets interact with plasma to generate magnetic fields, addressing one of the greatest puzzles in high-energy astrophysics. Kudos to the Fireball collaboration for paving the way for deeper insights into cosmic phenomena! #Astrophysics #BlackHoles #PlasmaPhysics #CERN #HiRadMat #FireballCollaboration #ScientificBreakthrough #SpaceScience
Bringing black hole jets down to Earth The Fireball collaboration has used CERN’s HiRadMat facility to produce an analogue of the jets of matter and #antimatter that stream out of some black holes and neutron stars. As an academic I fought for years to change the perception around the idea of citizen science as "just outreach and science communication". Important discoveries are made by people without or "wrong" degrees. NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration vindicates this by highlighting key citizen science contributors, as one should. #citizenscience #astronomy #citsci #scicomm #sciencecommunication https://lnkd.in/eg6WsQhV

New Physics Article! You have probably heard that the universe is expanding, and perhaps even that this expansion is accelerating. A consequent observation of this is that distant objects such as galaxies appear to recede from Earth faster if they are further away. Here is a helpful analogy: imagine a loaf of raisin bread that is rising as it is baked. A pair of raisins on opposite sides of the loaf will move away from one another at a greater rate than a pair of raisins near the center. The more dough (universe) there is between a pair of raisins (galaxies), the faster they recede from one another.…….
