F1 is an exciting experiment as we seek to diversify our entertainment industry. "The race attracted a capacity crowd of 315,000 fans to the Las Vegas Strip and generated an estimated economic impact of $1.2 billion. According to Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Formula 1′s impact will make November 2023 the best November in the city's history. " Nov 20, 2023 Looking forward, I think it's safe to say F1 will positively impact the local economy, from our hotels and restaurants to UNLV. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. There is a lot to learn from the America's Cup boats, especially about how teams work together in high stress, high performance environment. But there is also a lot to learn from the design of the IMOCA 60 boats, that have to survive and perform in much more difficult environments. The new Taylor 40/60 is very well designed

"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." - Socrates I've hit a roadblock in my design concept. The inspiration for this design comes from a tennis ball launcher, which uses a two-wheel system as a reliable launching mechanism. However, I'm facing challenges with the holder and loader components. In the video, the design seems theoretically sound. Yet, I'm concerned about the friction between the shuttlecock's feathers and the inner barrel wall, which might hinder smooth loading into the (yellow) loader wheel. Additionally, the holder's height of 660mm to accommodate a dozen shuttlecocks is impractical for children to load independently. I'm open to feedback and suggestions to refine this design.
