Today is Kanelbullens dag in Sweden! This delicious cinnamon pastry is so beloved in Sweden that it has its own dedicated day, with over 7 million consumed, mostly during office hours as part of the famous Swedish fika. Why do I love this day? Not just for the free pastry, but for how it brings people together—to enjoy, laugh, and connect. Have one or two today and ask your colleague how he/she is doing!! #WorkplaceWellbeing #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeHappiness #EmployeeEngagement #WorkplaceHappiness

💗💗🍜🍜🍲 #Cooking has long been a universal language of love, connection, and happiness. It allows people to express care and creativity, whether through a simple meal or an elaborate feast. The act of preparing food engages all the senses, offering a therapeutic outlet that many find joyful and fulfilling. Sharing this joy with others, especially neighbors, enhances the experience. A shared meal opens doors for conversation, mutual understanding, and appreciation. It transforms everyday interactions into meaningful relationships, where generosity and kindness flow naturally. 💗💗In neighborhoods, cooking for or with others helps build a sense of community. Whether it's inviting a neighbor over for dinner, organizing a potluck, or simply sharing a homemade dish, food fosters trust and camaraderie. It breaks down barriers, making people feel more connected and at home with one another. These small gestures of sharing food can create lasting friendships and strengthen social ties, ensuring that neighbors feel less like strangers and more like an extended family. #FoodIsLove #CookingJoy #CommunityThroughFood #HomeCookedLove #SharingMeals #NeighbourhoodBonding #FoodBringsPeopleTogether #HappinessOnAPlate #CookingAndConnecting #MealsThatMatter

This was a genius sign on a restaurant door in France 🇫🇷 What makes it clever? 🤔 If you want to impact social change, there’s a nice way, and more direct way to do it. This sign is positioned to be aimed at people leaving the restaurant but is actually for those entering. Rather than say, ‘please switch your phone off when entering our restaurant’, instead it positions itself as an expectation and social norm that everyone entering the restaurant always switches their phone off, by their own fruition. Therefore, the restaurant is helping you to remember to switch it back on when you leave…. Even though you won’t be seeing the sign on leaving!! #advertising #psychology

The Great Egg-stravaganza Bake-Off! The “Peoples Choice Award” Generally, we tend to spend more awake hours with our work colleagues than we do at home… So, it makes life easier to enjoy what you do, and the environment you work in. We have a small, thoughtful, multi-talented and dynamic team here at HealthGuard® and I am not afraid to say, they are irreplaceable. You can teach and transfer skills to new employees, but you cannot replace the unique personalities which each brings to our workspace. I am sure our zero staff turnover for 10 years indicates the inclusive and welcoming environment our workplace provides to each. The experience of our long-term staff is totally invaluable and their skill sets so broad, I am sure they make up for x5 skilled personnel! We are proud of our team, and we strive for continuous development in our roles. Aside from boasting the team we have, we don’t mind a little healthy competition here for those that wish to participate. It has been going on for a couple of years now at Halloween and Easter, but why not share the light fun with others! So… this time we are inviting the “Peoples Choice Award”. The brief is easy but the competition, stiff “Prepare a thoughtful little bite to share within the spirit of the theme”. There are incentives involved for the winner! I am sure the competition is only going to grow and become more fierce. CAST YOUR VOTE IN THE COMMENT BELOW: 1. Hoppy Treats Cupcakes! 2.Speckled Devilled Eggs! 3.Raspberry Rapture: Easter Egg-cellence Chocolate Delight! 4.Devilish Chickadees! #HealthGuard #WorkEnvironment #HealthyWorkplace #EasterFun #PeoplesChoiceAward #Competition #BakeOff #Easter

Share Beer – where the drinking is optional, but the chips are mandatory. Rituals are an often overlooked part of building company culture. Just like family Christmas traditions, Burger Fridays, or friendship in-jokes, rituals are the glue that holds culture together. They’re shared experiences where we uncover the best (and the worst) about each other and create legends through laughs. With over 100 people across three offices rituals are vital to build shared meaning. A longstanding TRA tradition is our Friday Share Beer. Always fond of a double meaning, it’s where we share interesting topics, over a beverage (and a big bowl of chips). The rule is no more than 5 slides, at least 50 point font, and it can only be tangental to work. But it has to teach you something about life and people. It’s a chance for our newer team members to practice their presenting skills (the first rodeo for many Skyla Caldwell!), and show what interests them. It’s not difficult to fill the weekly slot when you have accountants who are also concert pianists, physics majors who are also cat-walk models, rugby and football stars with quantitative expertise. Our Māori Principal Advisor is due to report back on her safari with the Holden Car Club, having also given an eye-opening oral history on the Māori Women’s Welfare League. We’ve had Dungeons and Dragons, and how board games tell you everything you need to know about work and people (Tali Uasilaa). Thanks to all the TRA stars who commit to our rituals – they are the heartbeat of our culture. I’m wondering – what are your rituals, and how do they help build your company culture?
