A recent study presents a predictive model for recurrence in colorectal peritoneal metastases patients undergoing CRS-HIPEC. Significant predictors include peritoneal cancer index (PCI) and primary tumor location, demonstrating fair discrimination (C-index 0.64). With a 78% recurrence rate observed in 408 patients, this tool aids in identifying high-risk patients who may benefit from adjunctive systemic therapy, potentially improving survival outcomes.
