As we know, a supportive workplace is built on the foundation of caring for each other's well-being, not just professionally, but personally too. At Bench, we emphasise that asking RUOK should not just be during RUOK Day or Mental Health Awareness Month but throughout the year. It's an ongoing commitment to each other's well-being. Our goal is to create a workplace where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued. Mental health is an integral part of our overall health, and it's high time we prioritise it in the same way we prioritise physical health. Today, I had the privilege of addressing our incredible team at Bench on a topic that holds immense significance - mental health. RUOK? isn't just a phrase; it's a genuine concern for the people we work with, our family and friends. It's about creating an environment where we feel safe to ask and answer this question honestly, without judgment. In today's fast-paced world, it's all too easy to neglect our mental health. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are challenges that many of us face, but we don't always feel comfortable discussing them openly. I focussed on breaking the stigma: building a supportive culture: how to support and ask “RUOK?”: resources/support available: regular check-ins. I emphasised that asking RUOK should not just be during RUOK Day or Mental Health Awareness Month but throughout the year. It's an ongoing commitment to each other's well-being. I'm proud to be part of a team that takes this matter seriously and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our colleagues.
