Juneteenth, honored annually on June 19, is a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States after the Civil War and has been celebrated by African Americans since the late 1800s. In 2021, the date was officially made a federal holiday and provides an opportunity for all Americans to stand together in unity for the country’s second Independence Day. This year, JD Finish Line took the opportunity to hear from the voices of its employees on what Juneteenth means to them. Check out this video to learn more about them and today’s significance.
