Shortly after their intro, Chad joined the Schell Martin Team. Chad shares he thoroughly enjoys working with his outside sales team. He gets a lot of satisfaction by providing efficient solutions and value to his customers. He really enjoys when he converts a quote to an order! Chad finds the fast pace of our industry keeps him on his toes—he loves it! His attention to detail and ability to build relationships with customers are two of his top assets to the business. Below, Tristan shares the best work advice he ever received — as well as his ethos on the simple trait behind every good sales campaign. Q: What's one campaign you've run through FEVO that you're especially proud of? A: I’ve been proud of us being able to run our larger theme and heritage nights through FEVO, such as our UM (University of Miami) and FPL (Florida Power & Light) Days. With the new upgrades, we’ve been able to increase the customer experience when getting their tickets to them successfully. Q: What's one thing that ticket sellers and marketers often get wrong in our line of work? A: The power of authenticity. There’s so much value in being genuine and authentic, whether it’s on a call to a potential buyer, making a theme night, or even having a presence in the community. The most successful marketing and sales initiatives I’ve seen come when the team takes the time to truly learn about the initiative or the client rather than trying to come up with a “groundbreaking idea.” Q: What's a memorable game or live event you've personally attended? A: Opening Audi Field in 2018. It’s such a rare honor to open a brand new stadium and go through that process, I’ll always be grateful to D.C. United giving me that opportunity. Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received with regard to your job? A: “The way you do anything is the way you do everything.” I was told this by one of my favorite mentors and it’s stuck with me to this day. Pay attention to the details, because the little things add up to be the important things, whether it’s how you treat your staff, make calls, do a proposal, or operate on game day. Be consistent with how you operate in your life every day.

I just completed Red Bull's On-Premise Sales. In the simulation I: Completed a job simulation focused on On-Premise Sales activities at Red Bull Used Excel to visualize which on-premise clients are performing best and worst. Communicated observations to Red Bull team members about why certain clients are performing better than others. Utilized active listening and social proof to overcome a client’s objections resulting in them more prominently featuring Red Bull in their bar.
