It’s officially the first day of the 2024 season, as we start planting over 1.5 million lettuce plants per week in these first few weeks. They have initially been growing in greenhouses over winter.      As we enjoy longer days, more sunlight and increasing temperatures, the plants are strong enough to cope with the outdoor elements but we do cover them with fleece to keep temperatures up, aiding initial growth.      Make sure you keep your eyes peeled for further updates.      #ukproduce #farming #ukfarming #agriculture #crops
