I read about corporate burnout cases every year & always wonder why? In corporates we always have a Boss & a team and if you are not aligned then the emotional response over a period of time is burnout. Same with social structures as families, clubs, housings societies there is someone calling the shots & you will notice these burnout cases. So the wise thing to do is to identify the business & social structures that give you these burnouts & then love them from a distance. If you want my tips on long distance love, I can share it, but finally you need to find your baseline for this. I try to remember that time passes faster than we think & sooner are old and burnouts are not a great period in this journey to think back on. Rest is upto you

Burnout in the medical profession is real (I have had my fair share) and can affect even the most passionate healthcare workers. Long hours, high-stress environments, and the emotional weight of patient care often take a toll on mental and physical well-being. It’s crucial for us to recognise the signs early, prioritise self-care, and create supportive environments where healthcare professionals feel empowered to ask for help. I am slowly learning to recognise the signs, prioritise my self-care and also create a supportive environment for my junior colleagues. Let’s foster a culture where well-being is as important as the care we provide.
