VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes OBE at the Tourism Alliance's Tourism Policy Conference, leading a panel on Squaring the Circle: Funding, taxes and staying competitive, which explored the development of the Local Visitor Economy Partnership and Destination Development Partnerships. Positive progress has been made with the Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs) programme. We currently have 35 already in place and more to come to cover all of England in 2025. These partnerships mark a step forward for the future of the industry in England. A significant element of this programme is the development of a national peer network which is supporting meaningful collaboration and knowledge sharing among the destinations, businesses and organisations across the local and national visitor economy. Along with the LVEP programme we’ve overseen the delivery of two Destination Development Partnership pilots. This is having a positive impact on local visitor economies and contributing to local growth. Together, we’re creating new opportunities for learning, innovation, and partnership to build a stronger more resilient visitor economy that can adapt and thrive. Learn more about how we are shaping the future of English tourism. https://lnkd.in/eeXWkmu7
