This wasn’t planned. I realized I wanted to have an inspirational quote go out today and it wasn’t scheduled. (Sometimes I don’t even have things planned.) So I set up my phone to record a B roll. I opened my inbox and find I have a new subscriber. Somebody else downloaded the Google workshop. This may not seem like a big deal however, lately they have been coming in way more consistently. And each time I get a new subscriber, I do a little happy dance. The podcast is four years old. It’s taken some consistency. To find my voice. To find my niche. To find my people. Most small businesses don’t pay enough attention to understanding website traffic. I’m not sure why businesses overlook the fact that their website is one of their main assets. Sure, you might have viral social media posts, podcast episodes, and YouTube views, but knowing where your website traffic comes from is super important. The term 'super important' is an understatement. Yet many ignored it. Perhaps, they don't have anyone to ask if the numbers are okay or not. Here's one main benefit if you start looking at your number: It help you understand your audience on another level. This may be a well-known fact, but I believe it’s important to state it nonetheless: People visit your website to check out >> what you offer and >> to see how well you communicate your messages or deals. If it’s not done right, or if it doesn’t meet their expectations, you could lose credibility. Potential customers or clients will bounce their way to your competitors. That's something you want to avoid.
