2 weeks ago, JMARK had its annual Holiday Party. While the celebrations and connections were great, what stood out was something that our Product Manager, Howard Trumbull, said: "Thank you to everyone who trusted us enough to let us know when we needed to do better." One of the most important elements of a company’s culture is its willingness to have what we call ‘Courageous Conversations.’ But to do that, you first need to create the environment and psychological safety for your team to feel comfortable to engage with discomfort. It’s not only something we practice internally, but with our clients, too. In fact, it’s largely the reason we were able to mend our relationship with a crucial client in the healthcare industry 2 years ago. All this is to say: ✅ Love the Truth, even when you don’t like it. ✅ Own your mistakes and outline your next step. ✅ Do what you say you’ll do when you say you’ll do it. ✅ Lead with compassion and empathy in your pursuit of accountability. — When our team feels safe enough to be unapologetically honest, we all grow stronger together. It gives us the courage to face hard truths, make things right, and become better—for our people, our clients, and ourselves.

It was so special to celebrate our 10th birthday with clients, past and present D&Co folks, and their families. We had a blast dusting off the BBQ, diving into DJ BBQ's Ultimate Burgers, savouring Julian's amazing cocktails, enjoying Jeremy on the decks, and playing some fun garden games. Reflecting on this incredible journey, we captured it all in a newspaper-style tabloid doc - reminiscing about the early days and the nerve-wracking decision to go out on my own. That choice meant turning down a significant earn-in directorship with one of Australasia's best independent brand agencies. But we’ve never looked back. I’m so proud of what we’ve built and continue to build at D&Co. We’ve created a business where everyone works to the beat of their own drum. There’s no office politics, very few late nights, no weekend work - thanks very much! We’re there for the school pickups, we kiteboard, surf, or golf when we can. We have fun, we give back, and we do good. It’s incredibly rewarding, and I absolutely love it. Of course, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. We’ve had to navigate some challenging times, but here we are - having fun and delivering incredible work for businesses big and small. Here’s to the next 10 years! 💼✨ Feeling incredibly grateful to work for a company that truly values and cares for its employees. It's the little and big things that remind me I’m part of an organization that prioritizes people first! Here are just a few ways my company and it's leadership shows they care: 🌨️ Safety First: I work in the Atlanta office, where we're currently experiencing uncommon inclement weather. My company immediately prioritized our safety by allowing us to work from home instead of commuting in potentially hazardous conditions. 📚 Continued Growth: This month, we were provided access to LinkedIn Learning—an incredible resource for building skills and advancing our careers. This investment in our development motivates me to keep learning and growing. 💖 Thoughtful Amenities: While visiting our New York office, I noticed thoughtful details like free feminine hygiene products in the bathrooms and a break room stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. These small touches make a big difference and reflect a culture of care and inclusion. I’m proud to be part of a company that doesn’t just talk about caring for its employees but takes meaningful action to show it every day. How does your company show they value and care for you? Let’s celebrate workplaces that get it right! 👏 (Trust me when I say... Locality gets it right!)

Holiday Fun with a Purpose: Trivia About Coworkers! This holiday season, I’ve been playing a game that I plan to keep going well into the new year: Coworker Trivia! The idea is simple but impactful—challenging my team with trivia not just about holiday traditions but also about each other. It’s been a fun and engaging way to spark conversations, uncover shared interests, and get to know one another on a deeper level. In the fast-paced world of logistics (or any industry), it’s easy to focus solely on work, but building personal connections can make a huge difference in team dynamics and overall morale. As I challenge my team, I also challenge myself to learn more about the amazing individuals I work with every day. Let’s make 2025 the year we not only meet our goals but also strengthen our bonds. Some questions I asked? 1) Which two people are transplants to St. pete from the same area, but not from our corporate location? Answer: City was Charleston, SC 2) which month has the most birthday shared between office staff? Answer: April 3) how many people in the office have a twin? Answer: 3 Etc Have you ever tried something similar with your team? I'd love to hear your thoughts or suggestions for keeping this momentum going! #Teamwork #HolidaySeason #BuildingConnections #Leadership

While President Cleveland officially established Labor Day as a national holiday in 1894 and grew out of the organized labor movement, today it is considered the unofficial last day of summer. According to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Americans eat 7 billion hot dogs! Then there is always the controversial question—can you wear white after Labor Day? Everyone at DMI Hotels wants you and your family to enjoy this last long weekend of summer. #DMIHotels #WhyCallDMI #Meetings #MeetingsAndEvents #MeetingProfs #CorporateMeetings #CorporateBusinessMeetings #CorporateMeetingPlanners #MeetingPlanners #Conferences #Seminars #SalesMeetings #SalesIncentives #CorporateRetreats #Tradeshows #MeetingProfessionals #EventProfessionals #EventProfs

🎉 Christmas parties are a great way to thank your team for their hard work. When organising your festive gathering, consider: ✅ Choosing a venue and theme that suits all employees. ✅ Offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. ✅ Including activities that encourage team bonding. ✅ Making attendance optional to avoid pressuring anyone. A well-planned party is more than just a fun night – it is an opportunity to strengthen team relationships and show your appreciation.
