We are pleased to announce our new strategic partnership with the renowned Cognac DELAMAIN, with Jebsen Beverage proudly becoming the exclusive distributor of Delamain's exquisite cognacs in the Chinese mainland. To commemorate this significant partnership, we hosted an official launch event in Shenzhen last week. We were honoured by the presence of Delamain Cognac's Managing Director, Eric Le Bouar, alongside our General Manager of Jebsen Wines & Spirits in the Chinese mainland, Andrew Yang. The highlight was introducing the newly launched L'Oiseau Rare, which translates to "rare bird" in French. Crafted to celebrate the brand's bicentenary, L'Oiseau Rare represents the pinnacle of nine generations of Delamain's craftsmanship, offering a refined blend of aged eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne. This strategic partnership is a testament to our unwavering dedication to the premium beverage sector. We extend our deepest appreciation to the Delmain family for placing their trust in Jebsen, as we both share the core values of family heritage and entrepreneurial spirit. We are excited to embark on this new journey and are committed to introducing these exceptional brands to our esteemed customers. Here's to shaping the future, one exquisite sip at a time. 🥃 #JebsenGroup #JebsenBeverage #JebsenWinesandSpirits #SuccessBreedsSuccess #StrategicPartner #BrandBuilder #Cognac

Samaroli is an Italian independent bottler of whisky and rum, renowned for its exceptional quality and dedication to the art of spirit selection and aging. The company was founded by Silvano Samaroli in 1968. Initially, the focus was on Scotch whisky, and Samaroli quickly gained a reputation for its unique approach to whisky bottling. Unlike many other independent bottlers, Samaroli often chose to age whiskies for extended periods in carefully selected casks, sometimes even re-casking the spirits to enhance their flavor profiles. Samaroli's bottlings are highly sought after by collectors and investors due to their limited releases and the attention to detail in selecting and maturing the spirits. Each bottle is often seen as a work of art, with carefully chosen cask strengths and unique labeling that reflects the company's philosophy. In addition to whisky, Samaroli expanded its portfolio to include rum, applying the same meticulous approach to selecting and aging. The rums are often sourced from the Caribbean, aged either in their country of origin or in Europe, and are known for their complexity and depth. Even after Silvano Samaroli passed away in 2017, the company has continued his legacy, maintaining the same high standards and passion for creating exceptional spirits. Samaroli remains a symbol of craftsmanship and dedication in the world of fine spirits. For us, who seek in exclusivity an opportunity to preserve the value of our capital and to gain, a methodical selection of Samaroli bottles offers our clients the possibility to build a solid portfolio of premium spirits, with the aim of creating a profitable safe-haven asset in the short and midterm, with a two-digit percentage increase. In light of The Economist's recent coverage on the booming Champagne market and the ground breaking Sotheby’s Champagne auction, which saw a record EUR1.35m in sales with an impressive 50% of the lots exceeding the high estimate, it's an opportune moment to re-evaluate Champagne's long-term potential. Our Senior Portfolio Manager Matthew Small examines the current market in detail in our 2024 Champagne Report. Examining the Liv-Ex Champagne 50 index, which monitors the performance of the most recent vintages of the 13 most actively traded Champagnes, presents nuanced picture. Currently trading at a 27% discount to its previous high in October 2022, the index has experienced a correction. Despite this, Champagne remains the highest-performing sub-index in the wine investment universe, with an impressive 40.8% return over 5 years. So, what's next for this effervescent beverage? Did you know that in the French wine industry, one producer would probably NEVER help pour another French producer's wines? The South African wine industry camaraderie has enabled their industry to grow leaps and bounds. The slew of reports from different publications such as Business Times have highlighted the challenging times F&B face globally. South African wines have defied trends and are powering through these difficult times. Sharing and costing have often been cited as key factors among producers. I was honored to be part of a fireside chat that highlighted the growth in South African wines. As of 2023, approximately 39% of wines are exported, with the UK and Europe traditionally being major markets. However, the industry is witnessing a shift towards Asia, particularly with Japan emerging as a key player. Now is the perfect time to explore these exceptional wines. Not only are they a fraction of the cost of Old World wines, but they also offer comparable or superior quality. Cheers to the evolving landscape of the wine industry! 🍷🌍 #WineIndustry #SouthAfricanWines #GlobalMarketTrends Cape Winemakers Guild Bevan Newton Johnson Savage Wines 67 Pall Mall Singapore

French wine exports fell in 2023 with Champagne and Bordeaux leading the fall. French wine export decreased by 9.4% in 2023 hitting the lowest point sinfe 2006. Most notably the shipments from Champagne and Bordeaux regions lead the decline. Export of wines dropped to 122.6 million cases in 2023 while higher average price per bottle slightly compensated for the value decrease. The second biggest France export industry for years, wine and spirits have dropped to the 3rd place , bypassed by perfumes and cosmetics. Champagne, accounting for 37% of all France wine exports , saw shipments falling by 11% to 13.7milllion cases and €4.19bn in value. Bordeaux’s export decreased by 12% to 17.3million cases or €2.23bn in value. At the same time the top segment of Bordeaux wines is holding up quite well. Can the drop in exports lead to a bigger shift towards investors as opposed to consumers? Only time will tell but certainly interesting to see how the French wine industry will adapt to market changes. #bordeaux #champagne #winebusiness #trade
