Here's a little slice of my life as a dad and a 100% commission-based loan officer. Tonight, I’m cheering on my son Riley at his baseball game at 5:30 PM. Being present for these moments means everything to me, and thankfully, my job offers the flexibility to make it happen. But don't be mistaken—this freedom comes with its own set of challenges. Working on commission means I have to hustle harder than ever. It’s a common misconception that commission-based roles are a breeze, but the reality is that you're entirely responsible for your success. My secret? Starting early. My day begins at 5:30 AM with coffee and planning, which allows me to tackle work before family time.
