New Post: Heart Cancels Europe Tour as Ann Wilson Undergoes Medical Procedure - https://lnkd.in/gx7P2GHJ - Heart’s upcoming dates in Europe have been scrapped, to enable singer Ann Wilson to recover from a medical procedure. The Rock Hall-inducted band has wiped the European leg of their Royal Flush tour, which was scheduled to kick off June 20 and run through July 12 was scheduled to kick off on June 20 and run through July 12, and include several festival spots. “We regret to inform you that all upcoming Heart performances in Europe are canceled,” reads a statement from the band. Good news to kick off the New Year - thanks to funding from World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), SCU and the Consortium For Street Children were able to conduct a dedicated study, led by chief researcher Shona Macleod, on the barriers preventing children in street situations from accessing healthcare in their respective communities. The research has been published by the BMJ (British Medical Journal) and highlights the main factors which prevent street-connected children from benefiting from their universal right to ‘enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health and to facilities for the treatment of illness and rehabilitation of health’. On April 10th, 2024, an evening called ‘Tis og Tabu’ will occur in Copenhagen. The purpose of the evening is to challenge the stigma surrounding urinary incontinence - a condition that affects millions but is rarely talked openly about. One of the evening's co-organizers is our long-term clinical partner Herlev og Gentofte Hospital. Many people with urinary incontinence adjust their daily activities, from skipping exercise to staying indoors, all to escape the embarrassment and discomfort tied to the condition. This can have a devastating influence on one's quality of life. 😓 Even tasks as basic as grocery shopping can become stressful. Concerns like, 'What if I can’t find a restroom in time?' or 'What if there’s an accident?' can cause a lot of anxiety and turn routine activities into sources of distress. At InnoCon Medical, we're always supporting events like this. By helping to break taboos and foster open dialogue, we contribute to a world where more individuals can seek and find the help they need.
