"Now that we think we know a bit more about pixel size, GSD, GRD, MTF and PSF, the next question is, do we really need to know all these quantities? The answer is: it depends.... Currently, the majority of super-resolution solutions report the pixel size of the super-resolved #imagery, which tells very little about the actual improvement in spatial resolution, and makes comparison of different algorithms almost impossible.
