As we all spend so much time selecting, preparing, merchandising, and finally presenting at XXX number of trade shows, it is essential to close with a bang, a boom, and a bing bang boom… Granted, very few of us have couture money, but we can always leverage a talented veteran or a local talent to leave everybody thinking, ‘WOW.’ Why not? P.S., it’s really time for trade shows to abandon booths and the aimless milling around. Instead, brands should be allocated stage time to present their brand story and the applicabke products. Why not? https://lnkd.in/gt6cRUFf

It’s one of James Bond’s more iconic lines: “Miss Anders…I didn’t recognise you with your clothes on.” Admittedly, on the surface, the connection of that quote from The Man With The Golden Gun to finding new and lucrative markets for your luxury fragrance brands appears tenuous at best. But if we believed in staying on the surface, we wouldn’t still be growing our business after 15 years. Here’s where we’re going with this: The Bond quote finds surprising modern-day relevance in the recent Covid pandemic. Remember when we all wore masks in public? When you met someone for the first time, and they had a mask on…did you then recognise them without their mask when you met up again post-pandemic? Probably not. This is why branding – and brand control - is so important. The right product branding ensures people recognise your fragrance no matter where, when, or how they see it. This means keeping packaging, marketing, messaging, and the use of content consistent with the voice, image and reputation of your brand. It can also mean a revenue boost of up to 23%. If that leaves you shaken AND stirred, we should talk about shaking up the distribution of your luxury fragrance brands. #Perfume #Marketing #Distribution #JamesBond #Branding

Anyone else get a good giggle from the new “Decades of Confusion” campaign from Loewe? Short film. Aubrey Plaza. Dan Levy. Bimbos in spelling bees through the decades. What’s “Low Heavy”? The new Loewe campaign perfectly displays the blend of campiness, nostalgia, and timelessness that sets the brand apart from other fashion houses. But I think what really sticks with me is how productive the unseriousness is. With such a crowded luxury market who is desperately competing for Gen Z’s attention, the campaign perfectly pokes fun at the brand’s pain points by utilizing archival pieces, cultural references, and the improv sensibilities of its brand ambassadors. Camp, craftsmanship, comedy. As a self-identified silly guy, I can’t wait to see what else Loewe is cooking! #influencermarketing #fashionmarketing #brandstorytelling #culturalmarketing

Marketing & Communications Manager | Digital Marketing & Strategic Planning | Crafting Narrative Insights Through Data
Does Kanye West embody genius, or is his authenticity so heightened that it resonates profoundly with the masses? In the midst of Super Bowl LVIII, West unleashed an unconventional ad, a 30-second clip promoting his Yeezy clothing brand. What sets it apart from the polished offerings of Dunkin' and Hellman's is its raw, unfiltered aesthetic. Filmed seemingly on West's mobile phone in the back of a vehicle at night, the ad challenges the norm. While a 30-second Super Bowl ad slot typically costs $7 million, West's approach defied convention with a cost of $0 for production, possibly proving that sometimes, less is more. Rumors abound about Kanye West's website reportedly receiving millions of visits, even from overseas, though official reports are yet to surface. The anticipation builds as we collectively await concrete details on this surge in online traffic. This unconventional vibe is bound to be etched into our collective memory, sparking conversations that endure beyond the Super Bowl spectacle. For my Canadian friends, you can watch the commercial on YouTube, https://lnkd.in/gzWFPiSN #kanyewest #superbowl #advertisingandmarketing #advertising
