Reports and data from ting power monitoring sensors in the Los Angeles fires indicate line faults caused power surges. Over 14,000 surges took Place multiple times until the Ting sensors were destroyed. "A "main disconnect breaker" (essentially the main electrical breaker for your house) could potentially save your home from a power surge by tripping and cutting off the power to your entire house if a significant surge occurs, preventing damage to appliances and wiring within your home; essentially acting as a safety mechanism against extreme voltage spikes"
