We're thrilled to share our partnership with Oncia Community, a non-profit foundation. Further than a classic foundation, it is a movement that's reshaping cancer care by placing the patients at the center of everything. “Bringing our small piece to global cancer care through our day-to-day work is fulfilling for the JEMA team. Being part of the Oncia Community with CE+T Group is a natural next step in supporting cancer patients and their families. Technology is essential, but a holistic approach completes the circle of care they need.” Nicolas Bronchart, JEMA SA CEO Supported by CE+T Group steadfast commitment, we aim to support Oncia's efforts to place a human-centered approach at the core of cancer treatment. Together, we seek to empower patients with comprehensive care and innovative solutions, ensuring they receive the support they need every step of the way. As JEMA SA, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact by humanizing cancer care. BE PART OF EXPANDING THE POSSIBLE! This is it - Final 48 hours! While we close out the final days of this year’s LLS Visionary of the Year campaign, as part of the Leadership Team, I am committed to results. I am committed to reach my fundraising goal and I cannot do it without you! DID YOU KNOW that about 45% of cancer patients abandon their treatment when faced with over $2,000 in out-of-pocket costs? No one should have to make a choice that their cancer treatment is just too expensive to continue. LLS is working tirelessly to make the cost of cancer treatment affordable for everyone. How? Learn more at the link in comments. DID YOU KNOW that approximately 20% of cancer clinical trials close due to insufficient enrollment? LLS’s IMPACT program helps expand who has the capacity to enroll in a clinical trial by helping make trials more accessible as well as ensuring these trials provide results. Did you know that 61% of cancer patients find the costs of care difficult to afford? (Source: American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)) Cancer affects people regardless of jobs, income, or family status. Nobody should be denied proper treatment based on their ability to afford it. Journeys can be long, grueling, and draining. That’s why we offer a sponsorship program at Do Cancer. Being a sponsor provides a patient with a customizable program that provides methodologies to heal the physical, mental, and emotional impact that cancer has on the individual to improve their quality of life during and after treatment. Will you support individuals facing a cancer diagnosis and empower them to be an active participant in doing cancer? Make a donation to provide a second opinion at a cancer research hospital, a health navigator to build out a patient’s cancer team, and access to clean, at-home products to ease their treatment. This #GivingTuesday, I’m proud to support Cancer Hope Network, an organization that embodies the power of connection. Over ten years ago, I faced a two-year battle with cancer. Living in Boston at the time, I was fortunate to have access to world class hospitals and a vibrant community of survivors who shared their strength and experiences with me. That support made a world of difference, and it’s why I’m passionate about Cancer Hope Network’s mission to provide one-on-one peer mentorship for patients, survivors, and caregivers impacted by cancer. For the past two years, I’ve been honored to serve on Cancer Hope’s Young Professionals Advisory Committee, working to extend their reach and ensure no one faces cancer alone. I’m also deeply grateful for HaystackID's unwavering support of Cancer Hope and its mission. This year, like last, HaystackID will match a portion of donations, amplifying the impact we can all make together. Every donation connects patients and caregivers with trained peer mentors who provide hope and guidance when it’s needed most - nobody should have to fight cancer alone. Please if you can, help us make a difference and help expand this life-changing community. Join us in Connecting Hope. Sometimes, life opens doors to some really amazing experiences. Thanks to UCI Health UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge, I recently had the opportunity to visit Monster Energy HQ to share my #cancer #survivor story. I had so much fun with Amy Truong and Paul Amundson -- it was such a blast! Stay tuned for the video... I am still pinching myself about being selected as this year's #patient #honoree for the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge, and I am determined more than ever to exceed last year's fundraising amount to help advance our fight against #cancer. I don't have a family history of ovarian cancer (or any other related cancers). I don't have any of the known genetic markers for ovarian cancer, either. My odds of getting ovarian cancer at my age were less than 1%. I am alive today because of UCI Health. Without the incredible team, their compassionate #care, and the benefit of early #detection, my #story could have ended very differently. This is why I'm fundraising for the UCI Anti-Cancer Challenge. All of us know or love someone whose life has been #touched by cancer. Yet, we do not have a #cure for cancer. Every dollar directly funds life-changing cancer research and is tax-deductible. Whether you give $5 or $5,000, you are making a #difference. Consider making a contribution today and help save some lives! 🎗 Learn more and/or #donate here: https://lnkd.in/g3cYCpNJ Thank you in advance for your generosity! #peoplefirst #cancerawareness #survivor #ovariancancerawareness #september #community #makeadifference #tellyourstory #anticancerchallenge #fundraiser

📢 Call for Applications: AstraZeneca and the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) have collaborated to launch a global grant program aimed at supporting initiatives and activities led by breast cancer advocacy groups. These includes efforts which are focused on increasing awareness and reducing barriers to access care for underserved breast cancer patients, ultimately working towards decreasing disparities and inequalities in healthcare. This initiative aligns perfectly with our ongoing regional effort, “Addressing Cancer Injustice in the Balkans,” which was launched two years ago. We extend a special invitation to Patient Advocacy Groups from the region to apply. Every day is an opportunity to address breast cancer inequities and injustice! 💓 #CancerInjustice #AddressingCancerInjustice #HealthcareDisparities #HealthcareInequality #AccessToHealthcare
I am proud to share that AstraZeneca and Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) have launched a new grant programme aimed at improving breast cancer care for patients regardless of who they are, or where they live. In its first year, the Powering Breast Cancer Progress grant programme will focus on improving awareness of, and access to, breast cancer patient navigation among underserved populations. Patient navigation is a critical resource that can have a positive impact on individual patient care and healthcare services. However, in some cases there are significant barriers to accessing patient navigation services and these are even more pronounced amongst underserved patients. I encourage advocacy groups supporting breast cancer patients to apply for this grant. We are keen to learn more about all the innovative ideas you have that will have a profound impact on patients’ lives. For more information and to submit your application, please visit: https://learn.az/6044b1Pt0 #PatientNavigation #BreastCancerSupport #CancerInnovation

I co-founded a #nonprofit cancer organization, here’s why: I’ve spent most of my professional life focused on #cancer — when my 9-year-old asks why there wasn’t a way to save his grandmother, it hits hard. I have to explain to him that 1 out of 2 people will face cancer, and 90% of those who die, including his grandma, die because treatments don’t work. Just a few months ago, cancer took her away from us in the blink of an eye, faster than we could even begin to process. That’s when it became a deeply personal mission. I’ve worked with cancer patients in the clinic as a medical doctor, I’ve fought this disease from the pharmaceutical side, and I’ve founded a biotech startup that is actively pursuing disruptive solutions to make cancer treatments more effective. But that wasn’t enough. I co-founded the Beacon of Life Foundation as part of my commitment to breaking barriers and supporting the disruptive research and technologies that can deliver groundbreaking solutions, fast. I’m calling on my network to join me. The stats alone are enough reason not to sit back. Share this message, donate, offer your in-kind support, or raise awareness. Let’s fight this fight—for our families, for those we’ve lost, and for the future.
