ABSOLUTELY A GENDER ISSUE The vast majority of victims of Modern Day Slavery, Oppression, Physical and Mental abuse are female. It is absolutely a gender issue and one that warrants the attention, focus, energy and resources of Governments, Communities and NGO’s everywhere. Maybe if we create a bank or credit union devoted directly for habitat for humanity black communities across nation. I was appalled by the Navy credit union action denying credit to worthy Black, Asian, Latino prior service members based upon color of skin. If those controlling my reserve funds were listening then use my reserve funds in my name and help these communities whom are contributing yet not having support from the very banking resources whom are obligated to help same communities whom are not being helped. Any bank or credit union found to be non compliant toward any group looses access of my reserve fund holdings. No one in non compliance shall have access to my reserves or within system of access while in non compliance status. If non compliant then no access of any reserve funds. All reserve funds shall be liquidated and returned to federal reserve.

As Rabbi Hillel would say, “if I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am not for others, what am I?” Instead of trying to convince people to do something purely for someone else, organizers in the DART network train grassroots leaders to do what Rabbi Hillel alludes to: how to be both for themselves and for others. Organizers do this through building deep relationships with people to help them see how standing up for their own interest is interwoven with standing up for the interest of their community as a whole. By guiding individuals through discovering what it is that calls them to fight for justice, organizers help people articulate what they value or need – and how that relates to the needs of the community. Through doing so, they invite people to be in solidarity towards creating the kind of community that we all want: to be both for themselves and for others in the pursuit of justice.
