While shooting a show suite for a project, I just hit a wall. The space was stunning, but not in my pictures – too bright, lacking atmosphere. The fix? Embracing a simple solution: I turned off all the lights except for stand lamps and a 10’ backlit. By doing this, the interior was transformed into a warm and inviting space with the same glow as a Golden Hour (that magic time when the Sun is rising or setting, and you don't have any hard/contrasty shadows and the entire sky is acting like a big soft box). In the end, the images showcased a beautiful North Vancouver morning, even though they were shot indoors at 3 pm! The lesson? A must-have property for those who like burning the midnight oil! 🌃 Welcome to West Graham Street, a block of classic tenements running through the bloodstream of Glasgow. Only a short distance from both the City Centre and West End, and with plenty of restaurants, bars, transport links and nightlife right on the doorstep, this is a working professional's dream. We loved how the property was able to seamlessly blend traditional features with a modern sensibility. We wanted our video to really show that mix of old and new - focusing on the clean visual palette with splashes of natural colour that gives the space that bright and youthful feel, as well as showing the level of comfort offered by the living area and two double bedrooms. Spring is a fantastic time to shoot generally because the days are long enough for a full day of shooting but the sun isn't too high during the middle of the day. If you want a soft, warm glow it makes sense to shoot during the morning or afternoon but make sure you plan so that you're not getting direct sunlight coming into the space.
