Want to ensure the best possible experience for your members? Then pay attention to what you are hiring for!
As Rishan Kuruppu explains, clubs must hire for VALUES. Someone who is hospitality and service minded and can consistently provide value is more important than a “name”.
Here are some things you may want to ask yourself next time you are hiring for a tennis director or tennis professional:
Is this person collaborative?
Can this person create a team of pros with high values?
Can this person deliver value on court and off court?
Can this person create a great experience for our members?
Stay focused on what truly matters and don’t be blinded by a flashy playing background ;)

What everyone should look for is someone who has a great hospitality approach, has a great service driven approach and someone who can deliver value consistently over and over again. The the opposite of that right is to hire for skill playing ability. Maybe a lot of you know great results or name or whatever it is, but. Once you once you look for the wrong values, you have a bigger problem than looking for the right solution first. So hospitality is taking care of others, create an experience that's collaborative, that's meaningful, thoughtful and can you deliver value on court, off court, can you build a team of values? Can you create a court that's Christine and maintained and create value in in that operation And just an overall system that's built on those three colors and I think if you. If, if if more. Clubs did that. I think you get an overall better experience across the board.
