There is remarkable work being done by the Alumni of the Oxford Sustainable Business Programmes, looking forward to being inspired by future series. It is why I have so enjoyed being in the classroom with Gayle Peterson and many others for over a decade. I always leave recharged, inspired, and with new partners in the field to collaborate with. Looking forward to being part of the upcoming Impact Investing Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in February!

What an exciting day for Climate United! Today, the team announced the first investment in support of a groundbreaking solar project at the University of Arkansas. Very proud of Beth Bafford and the entire Climate United team.
We’re so excited to announce our FIRST investment from the historic funding we received from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We are providing $31.8 million in financing to help Scenic Hill Solar begin construction on a groundbreaking solar project at University of Arkansas — the fourth-largest university #RenewableEnergy project in the U.S. and the largest Commercial & Industrial solar deployment in Arkansas history. Here are the project highlights: 🐗 The University of Arkansas System is expected to save over $120 million in energy costs over the next 25 years, directly benefiting over 70,000 students and 17,000 employees across multiple campuses. 👩🏭 The project will be built with solar technology components made in America thanks to Scenic Hill Solar’s “American Made, Arkansas Built™” initiative. This initiative increases American energy independence, strengthens the United States supply chain, and positions Arkansas as a leader in the global solar industry. 💡The project will generate over 4 billion kWh of clean electricity during the life of the project — equivalent to planting 46 million trees or 7 billion fewer passenger car miles. Thanks for having me Maria! Always a pleasure to talk with USSIF and to highlight the fantastic work the Climate United coalition is focused on.
We are so proud to announce the launch of a new series, our Member Spotlight Series, highlighting the US SIF members making an outsized impact within #sustainableinvesting. Our 200+ members represent trillions in assets under management or advisement and include actors across the entire capital markets value chain – from asset owners, financial advisors, asset managers, institutional investors, and community investment institutions to data and service providers that support the industry. This means we are all making a difference, in our own unique space. This week, we are pleased to feature Jennifer Pryce, CEO of long-time US SIF member Calvert Impact . In partnership with The Community Preservation Corporation and Self-Help Credit Union, Calvert Impact is spearheading the Climate United, a coalition that received nearly $7B from the National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) to finance #cleanenergy projects across the country with an emphasis on Justice40 communities. The NCIF is part of the #GreenhouseGasReductionFund, one of the signature programs of the #InflationReductionAct. In an interview with US SIF CEO Maria Lettini, Jennifer describes how the coalition's focus on distributed power generation and storage, #buildingdecarbonization, and #electrictransportation translate tangible benefits for communities across the US. I’m thrilled to be at the Forbes Power Women’s Summit today to learn from and alongside women who “don’t share the same stage but want to address the same issues” as Moira Forbes, Executive Vice President of Forbes Media, said in the opening plenary. I saw this quote below as I walked in and it resonates deeply with how we approach our work at Calvert Impact, with an emphasis on collaboration and community. Our success is not just measured by dollars invested, but by creating conditions where people can thrive.
