One of my favourite spots in Sedona, Arizona is called "The Birthing Cave". Every time I've been there, something profound happens. It's believed that the Hopi women who once lived on the land there used to come to this cave to give birth. And when you sit inside the cave, you literally feel like you're inside natures womb (I mean, check out the picture 😲). I was thinking about who I am today, and all the "versions of me" I've had to let go of throughout my career to step more fully into the person I am today (and continually becoming). 👉 The version of me that was once too afraid to ask for a raise because I didn't think I was worth six figures (only to realize money is just an energy and I am worth however much I think I'm worth 🤑). 👉 The version of me that thought my life dream was to become a VP and then once I got there, I still wasn't happy (because apparently fancy titles aren't the ticket to my happiness after all 🎫). 👉 The version of me that never believed I could leave the safety of a 9-5 corporate job and be an entrepreneur (and then I did it and realized it was the best career decision I've ever made because I actually bet on myself 👍) 👉 The version of me that wakes up in the morning and feels like I have no idea what I'm doing or where all of this is leading (that was actually today, by the way... I had a full meltdown and a nice cry 🤣) The list goes on and on... I'm constantly being reminded that I'm always in a state of evolution, of birthing and re-birthing myself over and over again. Letting old versions of me die, and trusting myself to keep going so new versions of me can come through. And the more softly I lean into that truth, the less hard I am on myself, and the easier, less stressful and more fulfilling this whole journey becomes. What's a version of you that you've had to let go of throughout your career?
