GoFundMe is now one of your top competitors. While jokes about GoFundMe are common, it has become a highly effective platform for today's giving. Anyone can start a campaign for almost any cause, whether legitimate or not. What many nonprofits don't realize is how many people search the site looking for individuals and causes to support. This underscores the powerful spirit of giving and highlights what drives much of today's donations: personal stories. These narratives are outperforming traditional fundraising tactics. If you want to revolutionize your fundraising results this year, start telling personal stories. This is the most underutilized and overlooked strategy in the sector. In the past, the "big names" in fundraising attracted the most donations, largely due to their extensive advertising. That used to matter to people. Today, we are experiencing a significant shift in priorities, and personal stories are the key to engaging donors. A thought for the week. In fundraising, it is easy to get caught up in numbers and goals, but at the heart of every dollar donated is a real human story. Each gift supports not just a cause, but the people and missions behind it. That is why relationships and connections are so important—they’re what humanize fundraising. At its core, it is people helping people. When we take the time to truly know our supporters, to hear their stories and share the impact of their generosity, we are not just raising money. We are building meaningful partnerships that inspire long-term support. It's about cultivating trust and establishing a connection that extends beyond a transaction, making every interaction more authentic and impactful. #relationshipbuilder #fundraising #peoplehelpingpeople

💡 Did you know that Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) are one of the most flexible and impactful ways to give back to your community? A DAF acts like a personal charitable account, where donors can contribute, receive tax benefits, and recommend grants to their favorite nonprofits over time. It’s a strategic way to plan for both immediate and future giving. Here’s why they’re powerful: 🌱 Flexibility: Donate assets when it's most advantageous for you and distribute funds to nonprofits over time. 🌎 Impact: Stay engaged in causes that matter most to you, from a local to global scale. 🔄 Simplicity: Avoid the administrative burden of creating a private foundation - we handle the details while you focus on the joy of giving. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a DAF, reach out to our team - we would love to help you build a giving portfolio that reflects your commitment to our community!
