Worried about Housing Affordability? The Colorado Sun 's Brian Eason published an eye-opening article about Colorado's Affordable Housing Units and legislation you should encourage your legislators to support. Still yelling into the ether here, but we're all doing our best work in a vacuum... Maintaining our existing affordable housing stock is just as critical as creating new; is just as critical as making housing more affordable; is just as critical as maintaining the rights of people who want to become homeowners.

Insightful discussions today on the housing challenges facing the US and solutions at the Center for American Progress. It is encouraging to see the affordable rental housing crisis getting tremendous attention from thought leaders and policymakers at the national, regional and local level.   #affordablehousing #washhousing #workforcehousing   

The affordable housing crisis is a national public health issue and we need all sectors of government to adequately address the problem to ensure that everyone has equitable access to safe, secure, and quality housing as housing is a social determinant of health.

In case you missed it, today the White House, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and other federal agencies made several big announcements about new actions to boost housing supply and promote farier and more transparent rental markets. There is a lot to love in here, but I am especially proud of the concerted action across HUD to make it easier to finance manufactured housing and support manufactured housing communities. Manufactured housing is such a critical part of our nation's affordable housing supply! Also proud of the PD&R team for publishing new resources to protect tenants from excessive fees and evictions and putting new money on the street for research on innovative state and local solutions to housing supply challenges.
