I see tons of concerts every year -- big ones and small ones. I'm not sure about you, but I will pay dearly to see an artist or band that is important to me. And I'll skip the rest. Here are my 2 cents on this supposed "trend" about fans not paying up to see shows this summer. * LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. No one wants to see a show in a giant venue with half the seats filled -- and the artists won't want to play to them. Fans want to see artists in the places where we can see (and feel) the music. These giant venues are no fun unless they are packed and everyone in the audience knows every song. The audience is part of the dynamic. The Black Keys are being smart, instead of canceling...they are re-tooling their shows to be in venues where it will be fun for fans (and them). J Lo -- not so much. Rather than reworking her show, she's canceling. Sorry, but experimentation for the win. * FAN SERVICE: The smart artists are playing smaller shows and also double-billing them. Pay attention to this trend. I'm seeing Jane's Addiction and Love & Rockets and they're well paired. Both shows will be awesome and who knows -- maybe they'll all end up on stage together. The chance for the unexpected to happen is part of the magic. Plus, the show is Pier 17 in NYC. It's an outstanding outdoor venue with a view of NYC. Could they have played at a bigger venue? Sure. Would it seem as fun? No way.

"𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐨 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐮𝐞. 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞!" - https://lnkd.in/dKkunZup When a guest utters these words, you know the amusement park has done something right with their pre-show experience. Waiting in line isn't just about standing around anymore! The pre-show experience has become a critical part of modern theme park attractions. A "pre-show" is the introductory segment of an attraction, designed to entertain and engage guests as they wait in line, setting the narrative and mood before the main experience begins. The power of sound in these settings is immense and often under-appreciated. Strategic audio cues and carefully designed soundscapes do more than entertain, by using sound to heighten emotions, these auditory elements gradually amplify the guests' anticipation and excitement. By the time visitors reach the ride, their emotions have been skillfully escalated to a peak, priming them for the ultimate release and thrill of the experience. As theme parks continue to evolve, the importance of integrating high-quality, dynamic soundscapes in pre-shows is more crucial than ever. Pre-shows turn the simple act of waiting into part of the attraction’s thrill. #DeltaSoundworks #EuropaPark #VoltronNevera #SoundByDeltaSoundworks #ThemeParks #SoundDesign #Soundscapes #CustomerExperience #AmusementParks #ImmersiveExperience

Professional Photographer & Videographer helping people and brands elevate their value through a variety of visual outlets. I love to hear peoples stories so reach out and connect!
WOW! What an amazing weekend at Groovebox's Eletric Garden festival in Nottingham. I had the opportunity to shoot the entire festival as I pleased. I now do video as well as photos so video was my main focus of the festival (although I couldn't resist taking some snaps!). Here is a little edit from the night as well as some of my favourite moments shared with friends. I also learned a lot of insight into shooting festivals and what does/ does work. Fro my limited experience, here 3 tips if you are new to this type of shooting: 1 - Handheld is king when trying to bring energy into the video! Gimbals are amazing but sometimes you need to take a different approach and add some energy into your shots. The best way to do this is to shoot handheld and create some really nice movement that matches what's going on around you. 2 - Explore different areas and get all types of locations. If you are shooting with a media pass you have access to everything so get all over the place and always be moving. It's great to get a variety of shots and during the event I was backstage, on stage, in front of the artist, behind the artist, in the crowd, in front of the crowd, etc... 3 - Buy a decent microphone, please! Artists a lot of the time want ther audio from the actual event to be used especially dj's so its a good idea to get a good microphone and set the levels really low to avoid clipping. This will level your video game 10x and will provide such a better experience for the viewer. I personally use the Sennheiser MKE200 and add some bass in post. Thanks for reading!
