#Alsace-based road haulier and 3PL, #PortmannTransports, which is owned by Switzerland’s state post office, will ship 26 multi-modal containers using DB Cargo France’s #Paris-#Nancy-#Metz-Nancy-Paris shuttle service which will begin early-January 2025. Drivers and cargo at risk: EU needs more safe and secure truck parking IRU joined forces with the European Transport Workers' Federation (ETF) and the ESPORG vzw to call upon the European Commission to continue its efforts co-funding safe and secure truck parking areas in Europe for the period 2025-2027. Additional funding is critical, not only to enhance cargo safety and security, but also to significantly improve the working conditions of our drivers, ensuring that they have the necessary infrastructure to succeed and thrive professionally. As we look forward to further modernising and expanding these essential facilities, we call on Member States and regional authorities to join us in this crucial initiative.
