One of my greatest joys is empowering Family Child Care Executives to reach their full potential! Balancing roles as a wife, mother, friend, sister, aunt, business owner, and community staple can be demanding. In my courses, I emphasize the significance of self-affirmation, especially during challenging times. I not only teach this principle but also live by it myself. The childcare industry can be tough, but we persevere with positivity and determination! 😊 Featured in Video: Delaware Family Child Care CEO'S UD Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood #familychildcareceo #familychildcare #JayMac #familychildcareisbigbusiness #Childcaremedia

If you're going through a separation and are worried about how it will affect your children, don't worry - there are several things you can do to prioritize their needs. Here are some tips for managing childcare in the pre-custody phase that you might find helpful: - Communication is key! Talk openly and respectfully with your co-parent. - Stay flexible and make sure you consider both your child's practical and emotional needs. - It's always a good idea to put any verbal agreements in writing, and if you're struggling to agree, consider using a mediator to help. - Remember to always put your child's well-being first. - Don't be afraid to ask for help from family and friends to support you in caring for your children during this time. Remember, working together now can set a positive tone for co-parenting in the future! #CoParentingTips #MLHLaw #CommunicationMatters

Child support can be confusing, and I often get questions from clients about what’s covered and what’s not. Here are 3 of the most common questions: 1️⃣ Work-Related Child Care: What counts? Typically, necessary childcare expenses while you work do count. 2️⃣ What Does Child Support Cover? Child support is designed to cover the basics—food, shelter, clothing—but it may not cover everything, like extracurricular activities. 3️⃣ Extracurricular Activities: Courts can go either way on whether these are included in child support. Often, parents decide to split these costs in a way that works best for their family. Child support is about ensuring your child’s needs are met. If you have questions about what’s included in your situation, reach out—I'm here to help! https://bit.ly/3OnRium #DivorceTips #ChildSupport #ChildSupportFAQ #Custody #CoParenting

If you're a Bravo fan you know that Summer 👏 Should 👏 Be 👏 Fun 👏. As a parent, navigating camp schedules can mean midday pick-ups and childcare gaps. To make this summer smoother for us parents and more enjoyable for our elementary-aged kids, my friends and I collaborated to create a system for collective child care. Using a Google Sheet, we coordinated who needed care and when, making scheduling a breeze. Check out the link in the comments if you're seeking a way to simplify your summer parenting and support fellow working parents. #summerparenting #workingparents

Support staff in residential childcare homes play a pivotal role in empowering children at risk of #ganginvolvement. ✋🏻 ✋🏻 By creating a safe and structured environment with open communication can provide essential support to children exposed to gang culture due to unstable home lives or communities affected by crime. Through comprehensive care that includes picking up on the signals/needs, counselling, education, and recreational activities, support staff help to counteract the allure of gang life by addressing underlying issues such as trauma, lack of support, and a need for belonging. ‼️ GET TO KNOW YOUR CHILDREN ‼️ Some kids can be tough to connect with, but regularly checking in and showing you care can start building trust. Remember their favourite meal or activity, share a joke, or do something silly—small gestures may seem minor, but they make a big difference! Let’s guide children toward healthier paths, ultimately breaking the cycle of gang involvement and creating a brighter future for these vulnerable youths. #EmpowerSupportStaff #ResidentialChildcare #YouthSupport #BreakTheCycle #GangPrevention #ChildrensSafety #PositiveChange #BuildingResilience #SafeHaven #BrightFutures
