I lost $20,000 in a single day when I was working as a floor trader… Even experienced traders make mistakes.  Recognizing common pitfalls is the first step to avoiding them and improving your trading performance. Let’s talk about mistakes in trading:

One of the most important aspects of trading is - learning from things that work or don’t, analyzing them, and making notes for yourself. We all know that the markets teach you something new each day, and to be a good trader it’s important to retrospect your trades and understand the logic behind taking that particular trade. That’s what most disciplined traders do - no matter how much time they have spent in the markets. If it’s important for Super Traders, it has to come on Dhan. 1 Tip I Would Give Someone Who Wanted To Get Started In Trading Do you want to get started in trading? I've been a trader for almost 20 years now. I've interviewed many of the worlds top traders. I've studied lots of great traders and their techniques... And I've also been tricked and scammed. What I can tell you from experience is that there are lots of different ways to make money in the markets. And lots of people who want to show you their way. But it's hard to know who you can trust. So, here's the 1 tip I would give if you wanted to get started in trading today: Don't trust anyone or anything until you can prove it for yourself. There are lots of trading "gurus" out there, sharing secret trading techniques and nice looking charts. But just because someone says something works, that doesn't mean it's true. Trading is a confidence game. And the only way you can have full confidence in something is if you prove it for yourself. Some traders can get by on faith short-term, usually when trading is working well... But when trading turns to crap, it can be much more difficult to continue without evidence or confidence. So any time you come across a trading insight, don't accept it blindly. Regardless of who they are, verify it first.

biggest losing day so far today. another 5 losses in a row...in a day. pretty crappy feeling but it's okay. I can't keep making these emotional errors, I can only survive it so many times. going forward I will use a pre-trade checklist and put more emphasis on my rules. -2 trades per session (9:30-10:30am, and 12:30-1:30pm) -only trade within my ideal setups -be more open to adjust my trades based on the market (like I tried to today on my 2nd short on ES) -be more mindful of when I'm potentially emotional and use the checklist religiously at that point to avoid emotional trading

Most trading errors come from a lack of patience and a compulsion 'to do something' when nothing is needed to be done. Sometimes patience is the best trading strategy. So, Don't be afraid of uncertainty. Have a strategy, stick with it, and relax for your expectations as much as possible. Let the market surprise you.
