Cabin Crew Through The Ages: A Brief History of Flight Attendants Have you ever wondered what life was like for the first flight attendants? While the job of a flight attendant is a much-desired profession, it is one of the most challenging jobs. The role of the cabin crew is to ensure the safety of the aircraft and the well-being of its occupants, including the crew. Cabin crew go through rigorous training before they can be certified to work on a commercial flight. The cabin crew profession has its origins way back in the maritime world when air stewards were responsible for managing the safety and security of everyone onboard. While the legacy continues, the cabin crew job has become more difficult and equally rewarding for those who choose this career path. https://hubs.li/Q02hx7kL0 #aviationjobs #aviationcareers #aviationdaily #recruiting #pilots #aviationindustry #b1licensedengineer #nowhiring #jobopportunity #recruitment #cabincrew #flightattendant #flightcrew

#Aviation Safety - Is flying still safe? To the article below I would add the following: in this run to hire thounsands of new operators at airports, sometimes forgetting a real selection and being concerned only in numbers, are we expecting a miracle in not causing potential new risks? Having in my classrooms so many new people every day, most of the time not interested to work in aviation but only to have a job, without not really understanding what is their role - and what is even worst is that sometimes not even recruiters know what is the meaning of working at airports - for the first time in my life I do not feel comfortable to fly.

Improving how businesses and people work to deliver value. Embedding and delivering lasting outcomes. Author. Conference Speaker and guest University lecturer on Strategy & Critical Thinking.
Candidates looking for roles: "I'm looking for my next challenge" Employers looking for candidates: "We're looking for someone who matches all our requirements on day one and can hit the ground running." If you're challenged in your role, you are learning and growing. These two statements are therefore not compatible. Consider an aircraft pilot wanting to be challenged in their next captaincy or would you prefer to be flown by an experienced expert with 10,000+ flying hours? Saying you want to be challenged is basically saying you're not a great fit. Try saying things instead like "proven quick learner" "demonstrably able to adapt" "have delivered successful outcomes in your sector" etc. Let's stop the jargon and just be straight with one another.

Pillars of General Aviation - First Officer General Aviation comes with its own challenges for all involved in flying and operations, except for the First Officer's. They are the only ones who enjoy's privileges and that too a lot of them. So let me just list out a few major ones: 📍 They have the privilege of being the first ones to know about the flight and that is because they have to coordinate the readiness of the aircraft, check the routing, filing of flight plan, fuel requirement, availability of departure, destination alternate airfields, weather, watch hours etc. 📍 They have the privilege of being in control of the administration because after all vehicles, hotels and in some case catering has to be tied up. 📍 They are generally first in and last out at the airport/aircraft because operational documents have to be collected and prefight medical arranged. 📍 They have the privilege of removing the pins/ cover before flight and securing the aircraft after flight - come rain or shine 📍 The have the privilege of meeting and greeting the guests, loading and off loading of the luggage etc because all this effort comes in handy whilst making the load and trim sheet. 📍 The have the privilege of enhancing their knowledge by getting debriefed for what did not go right or as planned - after all what ever went right was supposed to be their duty in any which case. 📍 They have the privilege of enhancing their regulatory knowledge by doing all the paper work before and after the flight, at the office and then some more. 📍 They have the privilege of learning from the best of best, larger than life Pilot in Command 📍 They have the privilege of paying lesser tax by the virtue of lesser pay or rather being under paid. They also get to stay in one company for a long time due to the large bond amount/duration for their training. There are many more but I think the idea has been conveyed. So is there a difference between a Junior first officer and senior first officer - maybe a tiny bit, if at all, in the pay, but essentially the privileges remain the same My advice to all the First Officer's of General aviation thinking of getting their ATPL and moving to left seat - TAKE A MOMENT TO REFLECT ON WHAT ALL WILL YOU LOSE. Moreover, you are the Hercules of General Aviation and are bearing its weight on your shoulders. #firstofficers #PIC #captains #generalaviation #GA #management #skills #flying #buusinessjets #cabincrew #AME #technicians #trainees
