#womenintech#internationalwomensday
At 01 Founders we focus on removing all barriers to entry into the Tech Industry
One of the perceptions is regarding what characteristics an individual might have to be good at tech.
It truly does not matter if you are rich / poor, male or female, which ethnicity you are, what your cultural background it etc
In fact, there are multiple research articles proving that the more diverse the workforce is, the more successful it can be
For one day this year, we would like to focus on Women.
You do not have to be a woman to attend!
Come along and have a great day!

The dual experience of women in tech ☯️
On the one hand - female tech leaders say they're in the most satisfying, rewarding and flexible roles they've ever had. On the other, they've had to battle through years of bias, underestimation and a lack of support to get there.

👩💻 Is gender equality a reality in the European tech industry?
Please share your experience in the comments. 📢
💬 “I cannot speak definitively regarding broader trends in the IT industry, but within our company, gender does not influence salary differentials. Compensation is determined holistically, taking into account factors such as professional expertise, experience, contributions to workflow, and demonstrated performance”, shares Milena Arabadjieva of Presitely.
"Having been with the company since its foundation, I can say that it [career advancement] 's never been an issue."

A few days ago, I was asked to comment to TechBehemoths about Women in Tech at NERDZ LAB. You can read the article below. As a marketer and female employee at NERDZ LAB, I was excited to delve into how our company promotes gender equality, ensuring every team member feels valued and respected, irrespective of gender.
However, at the same time, it hardly struck me that we`ve never raised this subject publicly yet. So here it is.
A peek inside NERDZ LAB's workplace culture:
Pay Parity. Market wages and experience using data from sources like DOU and Djinni determine salaries. No gender-based salary differences exist.
The criteria for career advancement are uniform for all individuals. The primary concern is that the person has the necessary expertise, abilities, and experience to perform the job. If you are a skilled developer or manager and your performance is exceptional, you can attain the position you desire.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to fostering the company's mission, vision, and values and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.
At NERDZ LAB, gender equality, diversity, and inclusivity aren't just buzzwords – they are fundamental aspects of our culture. The company's management model is based on the Scandinavian approach, which fosters a horizontal structure. Values like friendship and openness create a safe and encouraging environment for every team member to share their thoughts and ideas.
This inspires personal and professional growth and the chance to be heard and valued.
Even though our percentage of women is an industry average at the moment, I'm confident the company is on the right track.
We're not just building innovative solutions – we're building a community where everyone belongs.
Thanks to my colleagues, Anastasia Andon and Natalia Foliush, for their assistance with this article.

How do we ensure the women who do enter the industry stay long term?
Sarah Persov was kind enough to share her talk from Karren Brady's Women in Business & Tech Expo (1000% recommend - one of the best tech events I've been to) which gives you a bull-💩 free account.
