The 2024 hurricane season is looking to be a rough one, but regardless of the predictions, it's never too late to be as prepared as possible. Some good ways to ensure readiness are to review your insurance policies, know your evacuation plans (routes & zip zones), have backup supplies, and ensure general house and car maintenance matters are all up to date! Here are some great links to help you plan and organize in preparation: - https://lnkd.in/g3rg_x8q (Federal) - https://lnkd.in/gTETQKhH (State/County) - https://lnkd.in/giKJr6Ue (Evacuation route and zip zone info) #beready #emergencymanagement #hurricaneseason

Great post, Jesse Ryholt. I agree, however I have a slightly different take on it. I had to go thru the aftermath of Hurricane Fran in 1996. Being without power and a regular water supply for a week was a real loud wake-up call. New Zealand's Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency Management had at one time a real good emprep campaign: Get Ready, Get Thru. NOW is the time for those in the east coast and gulf coast states to prepare. FEMA's idea of a three day cache of supplies is NOT going to cut it. Think 2 to 3 weeks as a more realistic level.

Cool. A university in a land-locked mountain hamlet is commenting about Hurricane Season. Btw, I heard that Florida Gulf Coast University is putting out information regarding the Rocky Mountain 2025 Snow Forecast.

To my Florida friends, talk to me about getting a home equity loan in place now, which can help fill the voids when you experience property damage. Insurance company turnaround times can be slow and tedious. Don't wait until it's too late! Prepare now.

Jesse Ryholt, CMSgt Ret. Absolutely, preparedness is key, especially when facing potentially disruptive events like hurricanes. It's great to see such a proactive approach to readiness. In the annuity world, we also emphasize the importance of preparation and protection against unforeseen financial storms.
