The Power of Our Voices: Dismantling Colorism Together Wow! Your response to my last post on colorism has been incredible. It's clear that this conversation is long overdue. A Common Thread: Many of you shared stories of colorism within your families, workplaces, and even friend groups. This reinforces the pervasiveness of the issue. Moving Forward So, what can we do to dismantle colorism? Here are a few ideas: Empower Through Education: Let's educate ourselves and others about the history and impact of colorism. A great start would be a crash course in Latin American Revolution: https://lnkd.in/ghAD-sJS Uplift Afro-Latinx Voices: Amplify the voices of Afro-Latinx creators, artists, and professionals. Challenge Biased Representations: Speak out against media portrayals that perpetuate colorist stereotypes. Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable future for ALL Latinx folx. What are your ideas for dismantling colorism? ---- Hi 👋 I am Jessica and I am an Executive Coach I train Latino leaders like you to become powerful storytellers to advance in your career. That is a great “brief” start. I recommend the “Revolutions” podcast on Spotify. Dozens of hours on Bolivar and San Martin. Without the indigenous and black soldiers the revolutions of Latin America do not happen.
