When interviewing for our team, we always say we’re looking for talent, of course, but we’re also searching for people who are fundamentally kind. The type of people you want to be around. The individuals who make it a point to really know you and see you for all you are, not just what you contribute to your hired role. Because at the end of the day, we can teach you skills, but we can’t teach you to be that type of person. It’s not always easy to find those people and it can be hard to build a team like that. But dang, when you do, magic happens. And when you’re on a team like that, you feel that magic, all around you, all the time. Yesterday I turned 40 years old and this team of mine brought out all the stops - from making me laugh out loud at photoshopping my head on a Chiefs football player to decorating my desk, from making a Diet Coke cake to kind messages and a Super Bowl themed ring, they once again reminded me of how lucky I am. I work with amazing people who fill my life with joy and dang, am I grateful for it. So, my advice: find you a team of people who are talented but who are also just really, really good people. It’ll change not only your work, but your life, for the better. #team #teamculture #kindnessmatters #work
