Thanks RETHINK Retail for hosting this great conversation with Juliette Arnaud, Dir. of Enterprise Apps of Supreme at The Lead conference. Here are my favorite lessons from our conversation:
- Don't "systematize" anything. Mold technology to the magic sauce that is your retail experience. Fix the process without changing the process.
- If you work in technology, you need to be best friends with your #CFO. IT investment is about resource investment.
- Supreme was product first. Numbers second. That makes sense for Supreme. If the numbers come first, you relegate the product to second or worse.
- Not doing anything in #GenAI. Brand image and community is number 1. AI doesn't make sense for a brand image perspective.
- Excited about data and yes, #AI for data analysis. Reporting is always a pain point. Most execs and managers still don't have the 1 report they want.
- Great company cultures let people look Juliette wear a hair bun and be a "dragon lady" but also wear sparkly pants.
