Archer Aviation announced on August 13, 2024, that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Future Flight Global (FFG), a relatively new executive aviation operator, for the sale of 116 Midnight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. This order is worth $580 million, at Midnight’s catalogue price of $5 million per aircraft, and takes Archer’s existing order book near to the $6 billion mark. Interestingly, unlike many other eVTOL order announcements which do not include any cash transfers, this deal includes the placement of an initial deposit by Future Flight Global as well as a $5 million pre-delivery payment. Fokker Services Group subsidiary Fokker Services Asia has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Embraer which sets Fokker Services Group Asia’ facility in Seletar, Singapore on track to become an Authorised Service Center for Embraer’s first-generation E-Jets family. The companies say they intend to enter into a definitive agreement in the first half of 2024, with Fokker Services Asia getting a stamp of approval by Embraer to conduct maintenance services on the E-Jets first generation family. Falcon Delivery Dip Hits Dassault's 2023 Revenues Revenues last year fell by almost 31 percent to €4.8 billion ($5.2 billion) from €6.9 billion in 2022. Dassault Aviation is working hard to gain control of its supply chain while it targets increasing deliveries of its Falcon business jets to 35 this year, bringing the total closer to the pre-Covid delivery tally of 40 units in 2019. Cirium Ascend Consultancy reviewed Gulfstream G450 Market Values in April 2024, and they are down by up to 20% for the older vintages since our last review, while younger ones decreased by smaller percentages, supported by transactional evidence. Availability is creeping up, with 8% of the fleet up for sale. The G450 is directly impacted by the slowdown in charter as that opr category grew to 162 units / 46% of the fleet; with 10% fleet availability and hardly any sales this year, this is the second large (>20%) MV reduction just five months. Values are still up by 10-22% on a constant-age basis compared with 2020 - indeed with cabin / range >30% over SMS, it could still represent a good opportunity. Values are now very much in line with a CL300/350! However the type is older technology and ageing - we are definitely hearing of increased maintenance cost burden on the G450 today. #businessaviation Cirium #gulfstream #g450
