Today, I want to highlight two INCREDIBLE women who have literally reached for the stars and made history in the process: 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗚𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘀. These remarkable individuals are part of the Polaris Dawn mission, which set a new record for the highest Earth orbit ever reached by a crewed spacecraft. In doing so, Anna and Sarah have travelled farther into space than any Women in the history of Human spaceflight. Their achievement is not just a personal triumph, but a giant leap for women in STEM and space exploration. Anna and Sarah's journey should remind us that: 🔸 Representation matters in EVERY field 🔸 Gender should never be a barrier to pursuing one's dreams 🔸 Dreams, no matter how big, are worth pursuing It's our responsibility that the next generation of innovators, regardless of gender, sees a universe of possibilities before them. Building a successful team at work isn’t rocket science… or is it? This advice from a former NASA astronaut shows how using the team mindset from a space mission can create a supportive team culture at the office: #leadership #teamwork

Last week, we had an incredible team-building session facilitated by the very talented folks from Kaha Mind at the Vance (YC W22) HQ. Our adventure? The NASA Moon Survival Challenge! It's not every day you get to strategize survival tactics on the moon. What started as fun and games turned into a masterclass on personalities, revelations about each other in the team, and striking a balance between your priorities and those of the team. Beyond its fun, this activity was a deep dive into the essence of teamwork and collaboration at Vance. Here’s what we took away: a well-informed, collaborative group can solve challenges more effectively with a structured problem-solving approach. We ended the session tighter as a team, each knowing our strengths and how to play them to our collective advantage.
