After 7 months of being in it, I've realized that thriving in a team is an art, not just a skill! Here are some key observations to consider while navigating the dynamic realm of teamwork: 1. I feel better working in teams where everyone is free to give an opinion. Sometimes we argue, but in the end we choose the best idea. There is an alternative where one person suggests an idea and the others just do it. I don't think this is an effective way of working. The problem with 'creative discussions' is that it takes time to share our ideas without fear. It is also crucial that we never look at who came up with the winning idea. It is a process in which we have all contributed to finding the best solution to the problem. Where do we lose the most efficiency at work? Communication is the most important thing in Teamwork. BUT also the thing that usually goes wrong... Under strict deadlines and stress reality usually shows how easy it is for the working climate to shift in a problematic way. If colleagues start “arguing” about who’s right instead of coming together for what needs to be in focus: to make the project a SUCCESS.
