Advocacy can mean so much. This year's #WHM2024 theme is pointed and purposeful in urging us to think deeper about how we advocate for ourselves and women in the industry. Our latest leadership letter addresses the power of advocacy and how it remains at the core of WTS's work. https://lnkd.in/eT6JGbWv

Few things I love sports, I engage myself and enjoy sports coz its a continuous learning path. You learn more about yourself you develop habits you might not even notice such as: 1. You become goal oriented🎯 Avoiding distractions and keeping your head on the game, that's a discipline. 2. You take failures as fuels.🏋♀️ Loosing the game doesn't define you as a failure. It developed your patience. You just need to keep up and learn more from others. Go back to #1 focus on your goals. and, 3. You develop more trust to God👆 You focus on your goals, your not a failure by loosing the game and you trust God for that. You trust him that next time you'll gonna win the game with all those exerted efforts and preparations you've made its all for him. Whatever sports you choose, with him, nothing is impossible. We become more successful in life developing those good habits in our life.🏆🏆🏆 #HappySunday #Justdoit

Senior Consultant - Deloitte Sports Business Group - 30 under 30 NextGen Sports Industry Leader 2023
It was a pleasure to organise and host this event on behalf of Deloitte's Gender Balance Network on the Menstrual Cycle to belatedly mark International Women’s Day 🎉 I was so pleased we were able to talk about this often-labelled ‘taboo’ subject and to have so many women and men join us from the wider firm to listen to our amazing speakers. Key Takeaways: ✔90% of women have not had education about the menstrual cycle effects ✔39% of teenagers completely stop playing sport when they are on their period. ✔Only 6-8% of sport science studies consist of female specific research But as we look forward to more provisions and awareness in the workplace, a new Parliamentary Report on health barriers for women and girls in sport and increased data and research that can arm athletes and coaches with knowledge of the female body - we can keep spreading the word that understanding your body and menstrual cycle can actually be empowering, whether that's on the sports field or just in every day life. #InclusionAtDeloitte #deloitteinsports
Our Gender Balance Network recently hosted a great event as part of our wider International Women's Day celebrations on the effects of the menstrual cycle on physical performance and general wellbeing. It was a pleasure to welcome very special female guests Kelly Gordon from England Netball, Clare Simpson from Prevayl, and ex-international athlete Tamara Gaynor (née Armoush) from our very own Sports Business Group. Managing Partner for People & Purpose, Jackie Henry, kindly introduced the event which was also a celebration of our ongoing work with the Young Women's Trust – one of our #5MillionFutures charity partners. Thanks to everyone who attended both virtually and in-person! Photographed L-R: Kelly Gordon, Emily Bowe from our Gender Balance Network, Clare Simpson, and Tamara Gaynor. #InclusionAtDeloitte #WomensHealth #DeloitteinSport
