Really well presented - thanks for sharing Patrick. Simulations are great - and powerful business decision-making learning can result. It may be a bit of a leap to suggest that simulations have been the only great invention you suggest. There are many other effective training methodologies that have also evolved! Some are very ancient..... I believe that in ancient China civil servants were trained using experiential processes! Dan mentioned in passing 'experiential learning' (EL) which I believe is an approach to learning that has evolved to a very sophisticated level with the likes of UK based Impact and is based on real behaviour on real problems. EL is more focussed on the 'human' side of business than computer-based simulations, which can suffer from the limitation that the unpredictability of humans are difficult to factor in. Where to next? #simulations #leadershiptraining #decisionmaking #businesstraining
