It's that time of year where I renew Microsoft Visual Studio and the pricing befuddles me. The annual cost of the reduced benefit cloud subscription for Profession is ~ 67% of the renewal price. The annual cost of the reduced benefit cloud subscription for Enterprise is ~116% of the renewal price. Granted, you've got to pay more than 2x year 1, but you also pay much more in year 1 for Pro. Are the only people using the cloud option buying it for a month or two and then falling back to Pro the rest of the time? #visualstudio
