The new South African Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, has announced that the government will no longer fund "super fans" - extremely enthusiastic and dedicated fans who attend multiple sporting events and promote their love for sports on social media. The decision has sparked a heated debate online, with some people rejoicing and others upset. Super fans, like Mama Joy Chauke and Botha Msila, are seen as brand ambassadors for South Africa, but others argue that the money spent on their trips could be better used to support struggling athletes and artists. The minister's decision aims to promote transparency and accountability in the use of public funds. We continue to help more real estate agents earn over $1,000,000 in trackable GCI from radio and TV advertising▐ We have cracked the code for real estate agents to attract sellers & build their teams
So after writing thousands of radio & TV commercials for over 30 years, the last 20 for hundreds of real estate agents I’m asked which commercial out of the dozens in the biggest show case of ads all year, the Super Bowl, which one I liked the best and why? It’s simple but subtle and there are some good lessons in effecive marketing here … State Farm with Arnold … https://lnkd.in/e_9AZPfV (full cut) Why? I remember it. I laughed. It played off the name & its jingle slogan that State Farm has used for decades (consistency) that conveys what the company stands for. It’s consistentt with their brand. Arnold conveyed a positive image helping ordinary people. The State Farm logo is worked into the marquee. State Farm uses a celebrity to command attention and gets the viewer angaged to subconsciously say State Farm’s slogan to correct him. Even ended with a funny unpredictable twist with DeVito. Close runner up - Dunkin Donuts star studded “Dun-Kings”. You remember Dunkin Donuts and it’s memorable for sure, but State Farm’s masterpiece with Arnold subtly gets you to say the slogan over and over and embed it in your brain. Why are celebrity endorsements and jingles/slogans so effective that billion dollar companies use them and spend $$$$$ to be in the Super Bowl? 1. Celebs make people stop, look & listen. 2. A great jingle / slogan gets into your subconcious and helps people remember you before they need you. 3. Great adds mean little if they don’t get seen. The Super Bowl is the one event all years when the world watches an event in articulation of clever commercials. Now, back to the lab to create more ads to help our partners be remembered before they are needed.

If you need a reminder to register to vote 🗳️, and want a to be entertained, check out this video my talented cousins made!
Back in August of 2020, we decided to make a little stop-motion video encouraging people to register to vote. Was it zero budget? Yes. Did a lawyer recommend we change “Batman” to “Generic caped crusader” in our script? Absolutely. Is the message still relevant today? 100% emphatically yes! Please register to vote, and make sure to *double-check* that your voter registration is still active. We’re not telling you who/what to vote for… we just want you to vote! https://lnkd.in/gTHZa_gU
